Just to add a little more to an earlier post.

My favorite parts of the comic is

When Paul says that even though he married his wife to get back at an old business partner he still likes her. The thing is that we see through his actions that he does like Sherry. He puts up with her attitude and her mouth and enjoys her back talk, to a point. At the beginning we see Sherry begging him to allow her to go to the meeting. He tells her no, but in the end he takes her. I'm guessing that Paul and her had a talk between the time at the pool and when he picks up Michelle because when the trade is made at the end Sherry seems to know that that was his plan. Then after she does her thing he asks her to pick one of the girls to be her pet.

The part I like is the conflict of feelings that Sherry has in the comic. The line I like is when she thinks something along these lines. "It feels so right to obey him" or something like that. And we see how she enjoys obeying him. Plus, she has to trust Paul and I believe that she believes that whatever, Paul tells her that he will keep his word either for the good or for the bad. Also I enjoyed the part where she makes Michelle sound like a complete whore. At the beginning when she is force to call Michelle she asks her if she was the girl who had sex with her husband a couple of weeks ago. That part was hilarious.

After reading the comic I felt a little disappointed at BG9. Mainly because I felt that this comic did for Paul and Sherry what BG9 should have done for Peter and Maggie, but after a while I realized that BG9 did show the evolution of Peter and Maggie. Perhaps not so directly, considering the two did not have as much page time together as Paul and Sherry, but we did see how their relationship had change.

BG9 showed Maggie accepting and liking her status and her feelings toward Peter and Peter's feelings toward Maggie. Though it was done through Gwen's point of view and then Gwen basically played the role of Michelle and that both tried to become the favorite of the men and both were turned down and punished. The Society allowed us to see how Sherry felt about that only time will tell how Maggie feels about Gwen trying to still her spot or if she even knows what happened while she was cooking for Peter.

Its hard to believe that Maggie and Sherry's story are almost at an end. Hopefully they make many cameos in the upcoming comics.

First of all, I LOVED this comic. I love all Erenisch comics but this was just perfect for many many reasons. It was sexy as hell, and funny too as we expect from an E story.

otherguy wrote:

I completely agree wıth this. I would like to thank E for teaching me the word shadenfreude and making me realize why I buy these comics

Some of the dialogue in this was just great. For example the phone call between Sherry and Michelle (dougee also mentions this) is just hilarious. Sometime E seems to test us if we are really reading the dialogue or just masturbating away to the images (I read!).

Also a classic, the "best blowjob ever" given by Sherry at the finale: I have never seen such a detailed blowjob scene ever in a comic, and it is really really good. Sherry's facial expressions, as somebody mentioned it, are so vivid and detailed - and they make the blowjob scene even better.

There are so many things I loved in this one but I have to read it again for a more detailed review later.
ood work E!
luv ya.

EDIT - I just remembered another thing I loved - the final disclaimer page.It was so good and organic, you cannot be sure if it is a disclaimer or just another page of the story. We know it is a disclaimer because Maggie does not have a slave choker. Everything in that image was awesome!

It says in the comic that Paul Stevenson fucked Michelle.
I find it unfortunate that we do not see the stage or in the hotel or in the society

Thanks for that Gat. It took a double take for me to spot it as well.

Going by the introduction scene on page 38 he is the bald guy in the purple suit two across from Mr Difotze or Dougeee's Chuck Norris-alike. If that is right he not only has Michelle over a table but he also slaps and strangles or leashes her with a tie I always knew he was a sadistic bastard.

This detailed review was sent to me by mail by Otherguy, who had some problems accessing the forum. I'm copy/pasting his message per his request.

Quote:
FAN REVIEW OF “THE SOCIETY”
WARNING: HERE THERE BE SPOILERS

OK, its time for a nice long fan-review of The Society. Last time I used the same format for my review as they use to review the new comics on the website comic vine. That seemed to work pretty well, so I’ll do it again. I think E’s work is every bit as worthy of artistic criticism as any other graphic novel or comic book. E, is telling erotic stories and is in uncharted territory, but I maintain that these are still works of art, and can be appreciated as such.

THE GOOD.

There is SOOOOOOOO much good in this issue! With each passing month E gets better. Better art, better story, structure, better characters. Its really a treat to which his/her skills developing.

1. THE ART: The facial expressions blew my mind. I love the various pouts on Sherry’s face. Especially when she’s calling Michelle and she said “this is Mr. Stevenson’s CURRENT slavewife…” you can tell in that one frame she remembers Michelle and is still jealous, she’s not too happy about the way Paul’s treating her, and none of this is helped by the fact that Paul has said he might get rid of her (Sherry) and that he’s fucking Tawnie while she’s holding the phone to her ear. Sherry is soooooo frustrated, but what can she do? Nothing. She just rolls her eyes. I also loved the various looks on her face while she’s sucking cock. It’s so uniquely her.

Some other great expressions: The girl at the cuntmatch agency had this sheepish grin when Michelle found out they sold the girls to Paul if they did not find buyers, they cuntmatch girls face kinda said, “yeah, you caught me.” You know you have reached uncharted levels when your fantasy pornographic world is so deeply immersed that your characters just grin sheepishly when they were about to enslave.

There are too many good expressions to count; I could spend pages just on that. Michelle had a number, I liked her fake smile that she flashed for the first time in the hotel, the way she bits her lip when she’s trying to not get turned on by Paul fucking that girl in front of her, and the tears on her eyes when she’d at the cuntmatch agency, as if to say “my god how has my life come to this?”

Bottom line the facial expressions are good. E’s is good at drawing boobs and cunts, but it’s the individual faces that make the characters seem unique. That’s what brings the characters to life IMO. That and…

2. WRITING -The story. This story was very cohesive. E structured it well. In fact this might be E’s best-structured comic too date. Every scene followed easily into the next. There was almost no time wasted on characters we don’t care about, every page featured one of the main players.

Furthermore there was tension in the scenes. They were actually interesting on dramatic level. I mean it was hot as hell. I don’t want to lose sight of that, lol, this IS pornography. It’s just very well made porn.
What I mean is that every scene was well written and interesting, for more than just sex. We also care about the story.

Every character wanted something. Sherry wanted Paul to give her more responsibilities, yet she was torn because she still hates him. Michelle is pathetically desperate for Paul to take care of her; the cuntmatch scene agency gave us excellent exposition without slowing down the pace of the story. Even minor characters like the 2 girls they brought back from their vacation wondered what would happen to them. Each character had their own motivation, which in turn made them more interesting to watch.

I also want to commend E for bringing back so many characters, instead of inventing new ones. We don’t need a big new character in every issue. Its more fun (I think) to see a minor character like Michelle grow into a staring role, than to re-invent the wheel every time.

And the continuity of the E-verse is great! So many details! Difotze computers and smart phones, cuntmatch agency (first advertised in BG 9), ex-slave cops wear blue collars. And character after character who get to see again, like Janine, the girls from the hotel, Holes (was that even the girl Holes was inspecting in the Hotel licking her? She seemed to be wearing the same nighty)

The quality of the writing in these stories in simply astounding. Where else can you find pornography that has this level of thought and detail? I think I can comfortable say this is the Erenisch series is best written erotic comic ever, and it is among the best written pieces of pornography. I mean really, who can name any other porn with writing like this?

The BAD

1. eh… there’s not much bad I can say about this comic. The closest I have to a criticism is that there were a lot of scenes I wanted to see that I haven’t seen yet. When the comic picked up it was clear that Sherry and Paul had been home for a little while perhaps a few days, that begs the question:

a. What happened when Sherry and Molly saw each other for the first time since they swapped places? I REALLY wanted to see that scene. I want to see the hurt in Molly’s eyes, and I want to see how Sherry will respond to that. Sherry said in “the Hotel’ I much she wanted to whip Molly, when she gets to the actual moment will she feel pity for her defeated rival or will she get revenge for the ENTIRE YEAR Molly made her suffer? Please E? Will you show us this scene? Please?
b. Similarly, what happened when Maggie and Sherry saw each other for the first time since getting back? For A LONG time I have wanted Maggie to talk tell Sherry that she is in love with Peter. Maggie and Sherry have strong feelings for each other. It would be GREAT to see Sherry get jealous of Peter (jealous because Maggie is head over heals in love with Peter and Sherry will fear Peter is taking her place in Maggie’s heart). Please E? PLEASE? PLEEEEEEAAAASE?
c. Also, I think there is still something unresolved between Peter and Sherry. In the final analysis, I always want Peter to win. Maybe he should have to work hard and learn a few life lessons, but I want him to eventually have the upper hand. It does not feel like he has the upper hand with sherry if he’s trying to fuck her but can’t cause she’s locked in a chastity belt. But if Sherry were jealous of Peter that could fix that….

The only other semi-criticism I can make is what some one else said. Reading this makes BG 9 feel like a wasted opportunity. In “the Society” Sherry and Paul had so much great emotional dialogue and their relationship developed in such a satisfying why. That makes it all the more disappointing that Maggie and Peter did not do have those things in BG 9. But I feel kinda like a D-bag even saying that, because BG 9 wasn’t really a bad comic, it merely wasn’t as good as The Society. The Society reminds us just how good these comics can get.

Keep up the great work E!

My rating 4.5 out of 5

Wow! That’s long! Now I am curious if anyone will even bother to read this whole thing. If you (the reader) did read this will you please do me a favor and leave a small comment just so I’ll know how many people saw it? Thanks guys.

Long winded or not I think you have written a very good review. It is a very comprehensive list of the positive and 'negative' things in the comic. I can't find fault with any of your statements about 'The Society' and I enjoyed the comic as much as you seemed to.

The one thing I don't agree with is your opinion of BG9. I am of the opinion that because BG9 was expanded into BG9 and 10 that all judgement should be held in reserve until the 'final' chapter is released.

Hey Otherguy that was a good review and I would not describe it as long winded, you made good points and justified your reasoning, there was no wasted space or irrelevant comments.

I am with Dr White on the issue of holding fire on B.G 9 but agree with you entirely on the excellence of both the facial expressions nnd the dramatic tensions of the piece. As to the "Missing" scenes I think you overstate the case somewhat. This comic was all about Sherry and Paul just as BG 9 was all about Peter and Maggie. To throw in scenes with Maggie would have distracted the focus away from the plot developments that needed to be made here. I am sure that Maggie will appear in lots more comics and if there was anything exciting upon the happy couple's return then there are always flashbacks. Remeber BG 10 is high on the project list and that will be chock full of Sherry, Peter and Maggie moments I am sure.

Thanks for posting your review.

But I have to insist - Do not miss the back disclaimer. It is a classic!

That is a very good and comprehensive review. But I have to warn E that it needs some spoiler tags because it reveals a lot about the plot. I guess you forgot that. :)

Regarding Otherguy's review. Having being the one who said that I at first felt BG9 was a let down after reading the society I kind of agree with him. However, BG9 did reveal more about Peter and Maggie's relationship it was just more subtle.

The other stuff like Sherry's encounter with Molly and things like that. I can see why they were not in this comic. One reason was that there is a page limit, so only so much can be put in a comic. The other factor is that the other stuff really doesn't belong in this comic. It doesn't push the story along. Most likely we will get Sherry's relationship with Molly and Maggie in BG10

So I have question. Is there going to be a poll based on the ending? Personally I don't care which girl gets pick as long as it is not the one with the shaved hair. And when I saw the girls I immediately thought they were "The Juices"

For those play fantasy Erenisch points have been updated. Please add them to your totals ;) Sherry owners might be a little disappointed, while Michelle owners will be delighted. As for my girls they all are getting 50 lashes and get two weeks in the hole for not giving their master any points :x

Good catch.

(but remember that the Second Circle is not in Pussiana.)

Also I like the name Sophie Catin :)

I haven't even read this whole thread yet (and will do shortly) but I just wanted to say quickly that I LOVED this comic. LOVED IT! I really love the opulent decadent setting and I hope we will get to see more of this. I will comment more in detail when I re-read it. I'm sorry to be late to the party but I've just arrived back home from holiday and finally got to read this... :D :D

Ok, I couldn't hope to compete with otherguy's great review - I really love the concept of The Society and the island, the decadent opulent setting and what happened there but there was so much great stuff in the buildup to it too - so I'll just note some of the details I loved.

1. I LOVED the Cuntmatch agency bit. I really liked this idea from BG9 and to see it fleshed out (so to speak) here was just great. I could really buy into the whole idea and I loved the way Michelle had to try and sell herself to attract a Master in a rather degrading way. I really love the dynamic of slavegirls being in a position of quasi-authority (which is why I love slavecops) and the way Lacie was in a dominant position over the "bareneck" and yet was still a company asset and had this gaping hole in the back of her skirt to allow "management" access! Another great throwaway line here: "It's as if my college degree in female studies means nothing" As if!

2. The Portacunt was such a brilliant concept. Loved this. I also imagine that there is a special override in the electrical dildo to ensure that while she is constantly stimulated while immobile during the five hour flight she is not permitted to achieve the release of orgasm so that she is appropriately ravenous when freed from the crate

3. As others have also commented, I loved the way Paul and Sherry's relationship is developed. So many great things.I love that we are aware that Sherry had been condemned to the Portacunt and apparently risked Michelle's fate. Her latex outfit was so hot. I love the way she was clothed except for her pudenda which was perfectly framed. I love the way her conflicting emotions played out and especially that "best blowjob ever" scene. It was so realistic: that line of hers "I made this" rang so true to me. It's such a perceptive detail

4. I loved the way whipping was integrated into the sex scenes but was a little disappointed not to see too many whip markings but that's just me being greedy!

5. The way Michelle was tricked, I didn't actually see coming even though I knew she wasn't destined for an nice easy job at the conclusion.Really great storytelling.

6. The whole concept of these elite high IQ slavegirls with impressive (though now redundant) achievements was just fantastic and I hope we get to see more of this
