The most obvious is problaby "I have a bad feeling about this"
and in BG9 Gwen "Try? No... I don`t try... I do" - "do or do not there is no try" Yoda

Den (now Dr White, who probably got a degree when the old forum was gone) found that the carpeting in the Hotel was the carpeting from "the Shining".

I think that counts as a pop culture reference.

There are a lot of puns and double entendre's. If you translate some of the names into your primary language you may find yourself amused.

My favorites are Ginger Singivara and Victoria Koudendroog!

There are several others.

I had never heard of that rhyme before.

It's pretty silly. :P

Yes on Freedie and Jason, no on Peter and Paul, maybe a partial yes on Pax, no on Inara.

I'm a big fan of Whedon (Avengers is freaking awesome, by the way), and Firefly... I'm also a big fan of Inara. But Whorelips was not modeled after her.

About the PAX... I had the PACifier drug idea at a very early stage and called it F-PAC in my original unpublished work. That was not influenced by Serenity's PAX. But I really cannot remember when and why I changed the C to X in the clinic. It might be the effect of Serenity working subconsciously.

Abut Inara - She is at the top of the list of my favorite characters, and Morena Baccarin is the perfect actress for that role, but I did not base any character on her. I never base my characters on existing fictional characters or real people for numerous reasons. (I do take visual inspirations from real persons though.)

Freddie and Jason were a couple of my unpublished characters. I named them because of the movie poster for "Freddie vs Jason" (but not the movie itself). I hated that poster for personal reasons. :)

Peter and Paul... I'm familiar with the rhyme, yes. But the answer is simpler for this one.

Pax is latin for peace, I always thought that was the reference. :geek:

Wow, Cordelia the anal slave. What a concept.

Well, Pax is used as the name of similar drugs many times in reality and ficton, mostly because it meant peace in Latin. So the reference is still valid. But I simply cannot remember the reason of this particular change in my spelling of the name.
