Message from my "boss", you knew him as "Otherguy". he wants me to open this topic and I think it can be an interesting topic!

Otherguy:

Top 5 Erenisch Comics.

I’ve been meaning to write this for a while. I’m going to list my top 5 favorite E comics and why they’re my favorites. I’d love to hear all of yours too (I hope it goes without saying that I have read every single comic E has ever published lol)

1. BG 8
2. BG 10
3. Slavefair 2
4. The Society
5. BG 4

1. BG 8 still reigns supreme in my heart. We’ve all sung its praises at one time or another; it has so many great things going. BG 8 is one of the best examples of E balancing 10 or more different characters and it never gets confusing. BG 8’s artwork is still unsurpassed because of the plethora of photo-realistic art. BG 8 is swimming with images that seem more like photographs of sad faces than drawings. And that photographic style helps the characters seem more real. BG 8 was the moment when E really captured the idea that these were real people, with real emotions, who happened to live in a fantastical world. Reading it, we all imagine ourselves in their situation, which is a great accomplishment

The one moment in BG 8 which proves it superior to all the other comics is when Peter is whipping Maggie, and he forces her to recite the love letter he wrote her. That gut-wrenching emotional scene turned my world upside down. I literally did not know pornography was capable of producing something so emotionally powerful, and still so arousing. That moment in BG 8 literally changed my expectations of what pornography could be forever.

Peter is so vulnerable in that scene, he is whipping Maggie, yet paradoxically, he is more vulnerable than she is. He confesses he loved her and he believes she was laughing at him when he wrote the letter. He was so hurt when he never got a response to his love letter. Its like, by punishing her now, he is taking revenge for all the years he suffered as an insecure high school loser. His emotional baggage is his motivation to establish dominance over her, because it’s only in her absolute surrender to him that he will ever be able to believe she is not going to hurt him again. HE FEELS HURT BY HER, for all the years when she was popular and he was a loser, beneath her notice. I can relate to this scene on such a strong emotional level. I think most men can; everybody has felt like a loser at one time or another, especially in our awkward teenage years. So when we read that scene, we become Peter, and Maggie becomes the popular girl we had a crush on who thought she was too good for us.

Maggie’s emotions are also just as great in that scene. She really did love that letter, and she can recite it by memory, which is why the scene is so brilliant. She recites the love letter-which expresses how Peter felt few years ago, while she endures his whips, -which express his current feeling of bitterness after years of rejection. Thus Maggie, (and we in the audience) are exposed to both sides of Peter at the same time. And through it all Maggie just wants to prove that she did love his letter, its very important to her that she believes him.

Maggie also has to deal with the emotional bomb that the man she thought she loved (Peter, her secret admirer) and the man she thought she hated and feared (Peter, her master and tormentor) are the same man. And when Peter begins to gently make love to her, after savagely whipping her a moment before, the scene reaches a perfect climax and Maggie spontaneously screams that she loves him. She did not realize until the moment she screamed it that she loved him. Yet it that moment had been carefully built up to for at least the last 3 or 4 issues, if not the entire Birthday gift series. It’s a perfect epiphany.

The emotional catharsis of that scene, for both Peter and Maggie, is why BG 8 will forever remain my #1 best erotic comic. In fact, BG 8 is not only the best erotic comic I have ever read, it is the best erotic anything I have ever seen. I consider it the greatest work of pornography ever made. It is one of those rare creations we can point to that proves pornography can be art, and can even be beautiful, without ever losing its essential pornographic character, that makes it sexually exciting.

…Wow! I had intended for my summaries to be shorter. Oh well, lol. Ever since I was forced to get an assistant to re-post my thoughts, I have made my posts longer to get more “bang for my buck.” I’ll try to keep my remaining summaries shorter.

*********************************************************************************

2. BG 10 is the first comic to seriously challenge BG 8 in greatness. I am very encouraged by its quality; E continues to improve as a storyteller. After careful consideration, I still think that BG 8 is better for the reasons I have outlined above. But BG 10 also delivers a story about very real emotions with characters that feel like very real people. That’s what makes it great. Like BG 8, BG 10 is also a mosaic. Both comics find a few pages to let us experience the emotions of roughly 10 different characters, and it ties them together in a satisfying narrative – no easy feat.

BG 10 stands above any other comic, except BG 8, because of its interesting focus on 2 relatively unexplored characters, Carol and Paul. Carol especially is revealed for the first time to be cynical and vindictive. She is not the sweet innocent girl that Maggie is. Its true that Carol is a victim in the E-verse, but I can’t help but think that if Carol were born in our world she would be a stuck-up and powerful bitch. Just look at her maiden name! Once upon a time, she used to be “Carolyn Masters." Which isn’t to say she has no redeeming qualities, rather that she seems so like a real person. Carol has both flaws and virtues, which makes her that much more interesting to get to know. The same could also be said of Sherry and her flaws. Maggie is the girl I would actually want to enslave and marry for myself; Maggie is wish fulfillment for me. But girls with more flaws make for very interesting stories.

Others are singing the praises of this comic for now, so I will move on.

**********************************************************************************

3. Slavefair 2. While the BG comics are E’s greatest “character building” comics. Slavefair 2 is the best “universe building” comic. SF 2 is a very different comic than the first 2 on my list. It’s the kind of comic I turn too when I am in a very dark and cruel mood.

SF2 focuses on the totality of E’s world. The women in the E-verse are absolutely powerless; there is nowhere they can turn to. No one cares about them. No one will help them. There is nothing they can do defend themselves, there is no support offered to them whatsoever. The E-verse is the opposite of the real world. In the real world, women are given preferential treatment and extra protection, in the E-verse society is moved as far in the other direction as we can possibly imagine.

SF 2 is the expansion of the fantasy of male-power to its logical extreme. E’s vivid imagination is on display as he/she comes up with idea after idea on how to de-humanize women. The comic is very pure in its devotion to this fantasy, and it’s a lot of fun, even if the tone is very different from the character-based stories that are my absolute favorites.

***********************************************************************************

4. The Society. The Society strikes a bit of a balance between “universe building” and “character building,” but I’d say it focuses mostly on character. Unlike BG 8 and BG 10, which features upwards of 10 characters; the society has a laser-like focus on just 3 people Sherry, Paul and Michelle, with just a few cameos from other characters like Tawnie. I think that is a wise choice, not ever comic needs to be a far-reaching mosaic like BG 8 and BG 10, and the Society goes the opposite direction and lets us examine things more closely.

Despite spending some time showing us the "lifestyles of the rich and famous" in the E-verse, the Society also ends up being one of the better character studies. The examination of Sherry’s changing mental landscape as a new wife-slave is what drives this comic up to #4. I think Sherry’s sarcastic eye rolls, and piteous stares are among the best facial expressions in the series. The artwork in this comic expresses emotion very well through the use of faces and body language. The subtle attention to detail, such as the way Michelle bites her lip when she is horny, is the perfect example of why E is so much better than the rest of the dofantasy comics.

And E also proves him/herself as a story teller yet again, by taking the initially unpopular character of Michelle, and making us care about her, simply to prove that yes, E can do that. He/she is that good. ☺

************************************************************************************

5. Last on my list is BG 4. I threw in this surprise entry mostly because I want people to go back and read it again. BG 4 may be years in the past, but it holds up incredibly well. BG 4 represents an early high-water mark for the series. It was so good, that it took E a very long time to surpass it, and we shouldn’t forget about these older classics, just because they have been on the shelf for a while. Go back and re-read it.

BG 4 is distinguished by its near perfect use of what I call “intimate cruelty” –an expression I have coined specifically for E’s comics and which I now use a lot. BG 4 uses the intimacy we have built with the characters to make the cruelty to them much more powerful.

BG 4 tells the fall of Gwen, who back at this point in the series was not only still free, but also a virgin. The story begins with Gwen trying to talk to her now-enslaved friends. This was a great dynamic, and I wish E had explored that idea more fully in the early comics. What does a free girl say to her close, friend, now that she’s a slave? When a slavegirl is seen by her friends who are still free, she is that much more humiliated. I would have liked to see a longer period where some of the girls in the school were still free and were trying to figure out how to react to their friends getting enslaved one by one, but Gwen’s attempt to sneak a few moments with Tawnie is very interesting nonetheless. It’s very intimate.

Inevitably Gwen will become a slave too, but the way it happens is what brings the intimate cruelty to a crescendo. Peter and Steve break into Gwen’s house, blindfold her, and r@pe her in her own bedroom, on her own bed. Gwen’s bedroom, the designs on her walls and the “safe” feeling that her house gives off contributes to the intimacy of her violation. The design on Gwen's wall somehow makes the whole thing seem more real. Its difficult to explain how big a role that wall plays in the scene. Its very interesting. In the real world, losing her virginity in such an invasive way would be horrifying enough, but Steve and Peter are just getting started.

They proceed to grab Gwen’s mother, and they r@pe mother and daughter in front of each other, again in Gwen’s own room. E never lets us forget that this is Gwen’s virginity. And her thought bubbles are some of the best dialogue up until that point “this must be a nightmare! …Steve just took my virginity?” Reminding us that Gwen knows her r@pist from school makes it... thats right! More intimate.

But Steve and Peter do not even stop there. They make the double r@pe even more intimate by forcing Regina to tell them he most intimate secrets about Gwen, for example how she taught her to give blowjobs, and despite being r@ped Gwen, is just as humiliated by her mother’s begging. This is the real brilliance of the comic, it isn't enough that they are both being violated physically, they are also violated mentally and emotionally by what Peter and Steve force them to say.

Then, at this peek of intimacy, Steve and Peter steal control of the future from these 2 women for their entire lives. They cart the abused naked women out of the emotional safety of their home and give them new names at the slave registry. I never forgot Gwen’s thought bubble at the end of the comic:

“they took everything from me, my virginity, my dignity my mom…even my own name? Oh lord, I was a human being this morning, now I will be a slave, property, a toy that belongs to a dork.”

I think the greatness of that scene, which Steve was so important in, was a big part of the reason I was upset when E killed Steve later (and yes. I am still mad about that! Lol)

And on that note, I will finally end this post. Hopefully no one else feels obligated to write such a long response to answer such a simple question.

What are your top 5 comics?

For me, my 5 favorites comics are:

1) Slut in training 1
2) Slut in training 2
3) Slavefair 1
4) Slavefair 2
5) Birthday gift 7

It's hard for me to explain why for all of them. The first (Slut in training 1), I have to admit, it was the first comics from erenisch I read. My first lecture was a little bit strange, I didn't imagine i can read that kind of imagination one day... And for the first reading, I think I didn't like it... But the day after, I was thinking about it a lot of time, and I decided to read it one's again.

And.. I just loved it... I don't know specially why, I was feeling crazy to love it, but Kimberly was so attractive, the universe, the perversion (I don't know if I can say this in english), was incredible. And after I would like to know if erenisch wrote another comics like this one. And then, I become a little bit fan of the story, and the e-universe.

For the other 4 comics, I just like them, it was just a good felling when I rode them. In secret I hope Erenisch is going to write another "slut in training 3" (If you read this post Mister E. => please please please... )

(so one's again, I'm sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue)

I'll play this game. My top 5 are not too dissimilar to Otherguy's choices

1) SlaveCop 2; The Breed
2) Birthday Gift 10
3) Sluts in Traiining The Kennels
4) Birthday Gift 4
5) The Society

1) SC 2. This is an obvious choice for me. It is a SlaveCop story which seriously expands the universe. A lot of things that we had heard about were explained and visualised here breeding farms, the true extent of female subjugation and a bit about the efforts of teh resistance. Yet above that the character of Lidia is developed significantly, the corruption in the BFA is played out before our eyes and the narrative is tight and intriguing throughout. Before someone mentions it, the appearance of "Rufus" Vernon and a certain secondary Agent Slave didn't hurt it in my eyes either. :D

2) BG 10 My new favourite of the BG series, for me it is the inter action between Paul and Carol which make this one. The scenes from when Peter returns the gift to the final enigmatic smile are perhaps the highpoint of E's work. Add this to the satiisfying character development of the Peter/ Maggie story and poor Sherry having her whole world spin into chaos once more and you have a story that is not only satisfying but makes you actively eager for BG 11; Graduation

3( SiT;K A brave departure for E this until this point the stories had varied between the narrative of the BG series and the inventive nastiness of the excellent Slave Fair. Any series that tried to mix the best of both was always going to be committing a balancing act and this one pulls it off. In Kim we had a new heroine who was as engaging as Maggie with just a hint of Sherry's fire played out in the endlessly inveentive backdrop of the degradatons both of Channel 12 and Cummypaws. Also of course it features lots of leashed girls which is never a bad thing. (Did consider SiT 2 here but went with the original)

4) BG 4 I agree entirely with Otherguy on this one. One of the first BGs to go beyond DoF standard sweet/ bitchy girl gets kidnapped and fucked senseless for 40 odd pages. Here we see the beginnings of the universe expansion viewed through the lens of the BG story. Also we see Peter really act as the sort of son we now know Paul wants him to be. He kidnaps free women, manipulates the Principal and finds new and inventive ways to humiliate and control his slaves. He also shows no concern whatsoever about his mum being bound naked and tortured in the living room

5) The Society. Again I don't have much to add to the Otherguy point of view. For me thos is the zenith of the Sherry story and she was always my favourite BG slave. I think it should be seen as part 2 of the Hotel as the development can only be taken together. I love the way Paul so casually uses and discards virtually everyone he encounters (taken to astonishing lengths in BG 10) and this is one prolonged exercise in being a magnificent bastard. Paul is an objectively vile individual who has got rich on female suffering, has sucked up to men who are even nastier than he is and sociopathically uses everyone around him as tools for his own advancement. He has no redeeming features yet you have to respect the man.

Good. This is the stuff I like to do :D

1) The Society
2) The Clinic
3) BG 8-10
4) The Kennels
5) Karma

1-SOCIETY - I dont claim that the Society is the best comic E ever did, but it is my favorite. Two reasons, the whole Michelle arc that begins in the Hotel (even in the Stables) is very interesting. Here is this free girl who thinks she is better than the others (went to college, didnt she) forced to work humiliating jobs and finally has to surrender herself to a slave matching agency. The agency bit is one of the best scenes in all erenisch comics for me. Yous see two erenischian women, one slave and one free, but every expection you have about their behavior is distorted in a sexy way. I love the whole slavegirl controlling the situation and the freewoman obeying dynamic. awesome.

The way E moves the Paul-Sherry relationship forward is also very realistic and sexy. Starting from the hotel, we see sherry transform into another woman. The twist at the end is awesome, and I also liked the way (SPOILER COMING) Sherry enjoyed cocksucking and had an orgasm at the end.

2-CLINIC - I love the character episodes and universe episodes both, and I think Clinic is the one that balances them both. I really enjoyed Vicky and her attitude towards life. She was one of the two erenisch characters I identified most so far (the other was Kim). The mnd manipulation aspect is the sexiest thing here. bothe the second generation and the third generation have different levels of sexiness. Second generations are turned on but they do not lose all control. But the deisre is too much for them to resist. They have to beg for sex. third generation is turned into a total fucktoy, and I found this act of ultimate domination very sex. I understand that going further down this road will be wrrong, but I like it as it is.

And the nurses are all yummy. :P

3- BG 8-10 - I will cheat here and put BG8 and BG10 at third place both. They are both equally great. BG8 was a high point in art and a masterpiece in storytelling. It was the first porn ever to make me think about deeper issues like love. BG10 makes the similar effect, perhaps even in a more powerful way.

You guys explain their value better than me already so I will keep this one short.

4) KENNELS - The first comic ever I thought the main character felt very genuine. No offense to other characters that came before, but I identified with Kim a lot, probably because I saw elements of her personality that looked familiar. Just small things. Apart from the character, the universe building aspect was also perfect. Kennels and dog training for defiant girls, that is a pornographic gold mine.

I really liked how we had a quick tour of the facilities with Kim, and then witnessed her own transformation into an obedient puppy. Very sexy. I think it was also one of the most female-friendly comics E made so far, the others being the stables and Karma and a few of the BG episodes.

5) KARMA - some of you did not like the story of Anna, perhaps because you dont like anna herself, but I think this comic has a special place. This is a female friendly one for sure. We have all types of female characters to identify with, Anna, Maria and Cathy are all great,, but the best part is the dark realism brought by Zalupatin, the mafia boss. This is a very real character and because of that very scary and sexy too. Do girls like bad boys? well sometimes stereotypes are true :)

I completely agree with gatolica about the kennel... You find the right words.

I'd like to give this a try.
  1. Sluts in Training 1: The Kennels
  2. The Society
  3. BG8:The Favorite
  4. Karma
  5. Slavecop 2: The Breed

The Kennels got me into this whole mess, so that will always be my favorite. Also, pet play. I mean come on, puppygirls!!! The Stables I feel should me mixed in, but I have no experience with ponyplay yet.
EDIT: Gat, in her wisdom, said it much better than i could.

The Society I read before the I looked at the BG series. It just kinda happened, so I took it as that face value story, and liked it pretty well, then was surprised to return to it and see the rest of the story play out.

Talking about BG8 will basically repeat all the praises it's gotten on the forum already.

Karma, come on. Also it's good to have a female dominant in the lead to switch things up. It also hints to the bigger arc.

SC2:TB Was interesting, and I liked the world building aspects. I had some questions with the logistics of the farm, basically like when you see CSI or something and know the science is way off. That brought it down a bit for me, but the rest is good. Also about the bigger arc here.

But in closing, puppygirls goddamnit. puppygirls.

Top 5

1. BG10
2. BG7
3. Karma
4. BG 8
5. BG5

Since there has been so many comments about BG l0 and BG8 and I agree with them I won't expand on them anymore.

BG 7 is number 2 for me because it holds a special place in my heart. If not for BG 7 I would not be a E fan. It was the second E comic I bought. I feel in love with the story. I especially liked the ending with the interaction between Maggie and Peter and knew instantly that this was not a typical comic. That it had more than just having girls being captured abuse and then being left to suffer for the rest of there lives. The comic turned me on to the series. I firmly believed if I had started with BG1 I would not have read the rest.

Karma: I love Karma because of the excellent art work and story. I loved how the two most dominating women in the E universe were abuse and degraded like a common slave and how the common slave in the end was treated better then them. The reactions of Anna and Maria were fascinating and well done.

BG5: I liked the story of Ms. Cummings downfall. She was a head strong woman who decided to help out a slave. Helping the slave turned out to be a trapped and she was enslaved. I liked her reactions the first time her Master spent time with her. This was also the first time we met Anna and brought out Maggie's desire to please Peter as she became jealous of Anna at the end. BG5 is what started the series to become focus on Maggie's feelings for Peter before then the series was all about enslaving different girls and a typical dofantasy comic. To me this comic is what made the Birthday Gift series different from the other comics that one will find in dofantasy.

Fave comic: Karma (obvious)
Write down the reasons for top 5 carts is always hard for me...

1-Karma
2-SiT2 The Stables
3-Slavecop 2 The Breed
4-BG 5
5-Slavecop

:anna: Karma: it has everything I like, an unusual story settings with the secret live of Anna, the kidnapp of Maria and the day of reckoning between Anna and Zalupatsin; lezdom scenes (so rare to find) and characters that I really like.
Anna at her best: cruel, manipulative but with a weak side that emerge for the first time; the way she submit to Zalupatsin it's a really astonish twist for one of the most strong and rebellious female character of Erenisch.
Zalupatsin is great: maybe exaggerated in his evil criminal boss attitude but for this very intriguing; I liked his dark humour, his awe-inspiring aspect and his cruel-cynic behavior.
And also Cathy and Maria are great: I love both Cathy's new hair and her naive submissime character; Maria instead is somehow amusingly pathetic when she fall in Anna's trap because she is so self-confident and when she reduce herself to a fluffer to get a tiny revenge on the girl the defeat her.

SiT2 The Stables: I generally like a lot every comic that shows us new part of the world Erenisch created and for me among them The Stables is the best. Not only it has a long tour in "the wonderful world of whorsie" :D (longer than dog-slave in Sit1), but Lea story is really great and I loved to see a smart overconfident girl putting herself in trouble instead the usual good girl falling in a trap.

Slavecop 2 The Breed: like I said before I love comics showing new parts of E-world and I also liked the unusual mistery story.

BG 5: a good lezdom scene but above all Anna first appearance; I immediately liked her: not only her look but also her manipulative bitchy attitude.
And she was more interesting because she was different from the others E-girl we had innocent damsels in distress like Maggie or rebellious strong girls like Sherry but them are always passive characters that suffer the events, Anna was active.

Slavecop: I liked the idea of the slavecops and the investigative story but most I like the sci-fi settings with the cult the strange sick machinery and the monster.

Someone got bored and did a tally of the most popular comics listed so far. I've only done it in the unweighted Sight and Sound style. If I'm trying to procrastinate even more, maybe the weighted version.
I'm also putting them in spoiler text so people who want to contribute have to work a bit to incorporate a bias. If it keeps going, I'll update, if the updates come to a close, I'll unspoiler.

The results so far:
6 votes - BG10
5 votes - The Kennels, BG8, Slavecop 2
4 votes - The Stables, The Society, Karma
3 votes - BG7, BG9
2 votes - BG4, BG5, Slave Fair 2
1 vote - Slave Fair, Slavecop 1, The Clinic[/list]
Personal comments:
Whelp, I'm going to have to save me up some moneys to read 10. There is also the possible bias towards the latest, but still I can't see it going down any time soon based on the responses.
It's also pretty neat to see that with the exception of The Kennels, mostly later stuff has been more liked, as various artistic qualities have developed.
As for the rest, I can't find much that i disagree with, but I may have miscounted. In reference to the great Lord Wotan's slavecop inclusion, I assumed the first one, even though it could have meant the other.
If there is a concern of bias in other people responding, maybe spoiler tags would help, but it's only a suggestion, and it's not like we're spoiling The Crying Game, just some poll numbers. :-P

I've been struggling with this!

Been reading this thread and wanting to post my top 5 but it's hard to narrow it down. There's so much I love about the comics and the whole universe. Lots of the fantastic little details mean that some of my favourite bits of all are from comics that wouldn't be in the top 5 overall. Also so much of the character development in the later BG comics and spinoffs is dependent on what was established in the earlier installments so it feels like a cheat to pick The Society or BG9 without recognising the groundwork from before. Also do you pick the first introduction of slavecops or petgirl training or slave fairs or the second slightly more sophisticated (a lot more sophisticated in the case of SC2!) version. An additional complication is the desire to give credit to the increasing sophistication in E's later comics in terms of artwork but mainly in terms of storytelling. E has shown that the framework of this universe and these comics can support all sorts of different types of stories.

That said, I'm going with:

1. Slave Cop 2: The Breed
2. Sluts in Training 2: The Kennels
3. The Society
4. BG9 (mainly because of the fantastic cover!)
5. Slave Fair 2

(subs bench: Karma, BG10: Lovelust)

Even though there's been some agonising about this, I have picked these a little on the hoof and if I did it again tomorrow they would probably be different.

So you are saying you would be happier doing a top 15 triona? :D

Perhaps you should come back and do another one like on one of those pop charts shows

Quote:
At 5 a new entry but old favourite. It's the maternal misery of Family Slave Set.
At number 4, and down 2 places from the las one, is Sluts in training 2|As we countdown to No 1 Willl it still be SC 2?

The Clinic

2 Votes:

Hey Lana, I'm surprised the Kennels is not in your top five.

It was a tough choice between The Kennels and Karma. I've been waiting for a comic where Maria Difotze gets used and that's what pushed Karma over the edge for me.

For me there are just two scenes that stand out among all the comics. I like the slave fair series too and totally adore Maggie & peter but oddly I really like it when E shows girls in 'real' clothes. Hence I like the old pictures of Molly in BG9 Vengeance and of Ginger with Anna in Karma! These are the scenes I can recall to memory.

So is anybody’s choice of 'best comic' reliant on one scene propelling that comic to new heights or just a general appreciation for the entire comic.

Or conversely do people have a list of favourite scenes and how does that compare to favourite comics?

Just a thought.
