No, it's 'Where's Waldo' and Google is your friend.

Thanks. Just one more question; why did you guys change the name? Can't be language thing can it? I mean, I'd understand if the Spanish would call the poor sod Jose or Pedro, but I find it hard to believe that Wally wouldn't work as well across the pond. But then, what do I know ... obviously fairly little about this Wally/Waldo character at least.

I'm not entirely convinced about that.

There doesn't seem to be a Wikipedia ready reason for why we(MURUCA) and Canada have Waldo rather than Wally.
I guess it was a random change that had no actual thought other than marketing. Like clue v cluedo

Neither am I but the point is well made. Just don't mortage your house over something said on the internet.

The real question is why do I have Wheres Waldo over here in England and not Wally?

Unauthorised Import perhaps?

I can understand not having Wally in Australia.

Is it weird or if you just replaced the US Basketball jersey's with UK Football shirts then the 'American Party' seems just like a regular party. Popcorn, red cups etc all perfectly normal for me.

I thought an 'American Party' would have (fake) M-16's, Giant Fireworks, Giant screens showing illegally accessed Webcam feeds and somebody falling down the stairs drunk.

I think it's a frat boy amalgamation of some type. At least with the red solo cups, the jerseys and dress, the hot dogs as hidden male phallus intent, and the getting pissed/drunk/wasted.

Well, this is kind of cosplay, so people is likely going over board to look "american". But seriously, it might be time for some self reflection. All those people are mimicking what you guys send out via TV shows and movies. If the reflection looks funny, it might not be the mirror that's faulty.

Well, as one who has been to college parties with this sort of biz, it's partially right. If all of those red cups are filled with cheap beer or something stronger, then yea that's a party. No real reason behind the cups other than you can write your name on the side.

The popcorn I don't get. We only have that for movie watching. Marshmallows on a stick, it's like raw toasted marshmallows or something.

The rest are a mix of Independence Day parties if run by drunk teenagers.

Which is about right.

Sorry.

Hey, cheer up. All those people aren't mimicking you to make fun out of you. They like [their notion of] your parties!

On a similar subject, have you been to Ireland on St:Patricks day? The celebration is not really the same as the american version. :D

No, I figured the Irish would celebrate it as if it was a cultural holiday, and not just a reason to drink.

It's celebrated as a cultural holiday *and* a reason to drink! ;)

It's not really like the American version though it is getting more like that...
