Easiest way to answer the first question is below

http://www.thefullwiki.org/Dolcett

I believe he has stopped producing but whether that is permanent or just a prolonged sabattical I have no idea

He's been inactive for a long time. I used to publish his work at one of the companies I managed. He was quite secretive and never came into the office. I never met him personally. But by the time I'd left that job back in 1997 he had stopped sending us new material for a couple of years.

Have no idea where he is now or what he's doing, though I find his continuing influence an interesting phenomenon. I never liked his work, either visually or narratively. Too far-fetched and too gruesome for my taste, but there's no doubt he touched a nerve in a lot of readers. He was by far the most popular seller of any of the artists whose work we published.

Not sure why this is. Not sure I want to know.

While I will admit that Dolcett is/was skilled in his drawing of the female form, his subject matter always turned me off. I personally cannot be turned on by cannibalism or Sn**f.

However, I do know that thanks to amazon.com there was a documentary made about him in 2008 called Kill the artist. I have not seen itso could not say what has to say. Though you might find it on youtube, who knows.

Here is the link to the amazon page. I hope it helps.

I have read a few Dolcett stories and the eroticism in them does elude me.

His fans speak of the total submission of his female characters, and that is great- I would not be here if I didn't love submissive women yet Erenisch gives us submissive females every bit as beautiful yet they (on the whole) don't get executed and there most certainly is no gynophagia. That part does (I am quite happy to acknowledge) leaves me totally cold. Is there an element to all this I am missing? Maybe. If any of you do find a certain erotic twist to it that is fine, kinks come in all shapes and sizes, but I really don't get it all.

Maggie and the other girls display total submission here , even Sherry for all her arrogance and latent sadism totally accepts that she is of a slave gender. Whilst the threat of death does hang casually over the Erenischean girls there is no literal gallows on P54. For everything Steve put Anna through it was implied that it never involved slow roasting.

I have no idea who he is and what he is up to these days, but I have a few things to say about the guy and his art. Here is what I wrote about Dolcett (and Sn**f) on another thread, if you are interested.
